How long does it take to receive and build my kit home?
Once plans are finalized and approvals are secured, kit delivery typically takes 8–12 weeks. Build time depends on complexity, site conditions, and other factors, however, many clients reach lock-up within a few months. Our team of experts will streamline your project completion to avoid unnecessary delays and work with you to have your frame delivered when your foundation is ready.
What materials are used in Ironbridge ADUs kits?
The kits use Cold Form Steel (CFS), from the USA, for the frames. With termite-proof, warp-resistant, recyclable materials that are more durable and have lower maintenance than timber. Can I build this ADU myself or do I need a builder?
Ironbridge ADUs kits are designed to be builder-friendly and owner-builder compatible (with permits). You can use your preferred builder or ask Ironbridge for referrals to trusted contractors. With a pre-built and delivered option, all you need to is build your internal finishings, or select a fully pre-built and completed option.
Both options are possible. Some owner-builders choose to self-manage construction with local trades, while others engage licensed builders. Ironbridge can provide referrals or support for both paths
